An Unusual Pair of Solid Silver Spoons , with Venetian Figure Terminals
The figure is that of Brighella, a comic, masked character from the Commedia dell'Arte
The details of his face are a little rubbed but you can make out his typical mask with a large moustache, he wears the associated loose fitting smock and pants and in his hand he holds a baton known as battachio ( or slapstick.)
The stem are decorated with ornate piercing.
They are English hallmarked for Sheffield 1896 with makers mark HS for Henry Stratford
They measure 20cm in length and have the combined weight of 160 grams
