A FINE PAIR OF JAPANESE KUTANI SMALL VASES - KUTANI KAGA
Dating to the Meiji Period (1868 - 1912)
Decorated in the Satsuma style but on a porcelain body , with Kutani Kaga marks to their bases.
Highly detailed in their decoration with numerous painted figures of scholars/ wise men reading from scrolls.
Highlighted in gilt .
With shoulders decorated in stylised gilt floral patterns on a black ground .
Of a very small size, measuring just 11.5cm in height.
In excellent condition, with just a little firing mark on the lip of one
