A Vintage French Silver Plated Jewellery Casket / Jewellery Box

A beautiful casket with each side embossed with a panel of medieval  countryside scenes.

With children playing in a stream , people working in a vine yard and harvesting wheat

With a variety of ornate border patterns

Dating to the early 20th Century

It has been blue satin & velvet two tier interior ,  the previous owners had it relined  in the 1970s, closely matching  to its original colours .

Stamped with the makers mark A or A/F combined (untraced)
It comes with a working lock & key

In overall very nice condition, with a few areas of loss to the plate with the copper showing through .

It measures 31cm length, 17.5cm  height & 21cm in width  & weighs approx. 4 kilos
